How to manage different temperature zones

Case study - SalzburgMilch

SalzburgMilch produces dairy products for the European market in Salzburg, Austria. In less than 24 hours after the milk has been collected from the Austrian farmyards and processing has begun, the first containers are already on the market.

SalzburgMilch needed a main contractor with vast experience and industry knowledge to construct and integrate a new high-bay warehouse. During construction and implementation, it was critical to understand how to manage different temperature zones and diverse storage periods.

This case study demonstrates how Kardex Mlog constructed a high-bay warehouse and implemented automated solutions to:

  • manage different temperature zones and different dwell times
  • store all products on around 7,000 pallet spaces in one warehouse
  • create a conveying capacity of 110 pallets per hour
